Medical Facilities

Cortland Regional Medical Center is a modern medical facility with 181-bed capacity. The Hospital has undertaken a multi-million-dollar renovation program and has expanded sophisticated new facilities to meet area residents' needs. Two rural health centers within the county have received national recognition for their innovative approach to primary care. In addition, there are over 80 physicians and dentists in the County. Major medical facilities, including a university medical center, are also available in nearby Syracuse.

Cortland Convenient Care Center

Another local medical resource is the Cortland Convenient Care Center, which is part of Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca, serving people of the Finger Lakes region for more than 100 years.

Cortland Convenient Care is located at The Commons Office Park, a campus-like complex of specialized medical facilities located in the Town of Cortlandville.

Cortland Convenient Care's goal is to provide patients with prompt, professional medical care in a comfortable setting without an appointment. Doctors, nurses and certified technologists are experienced caregivers, who do their very best to help patients feel better. The care team at Cortland Convenient Care sees urgent-care patients of all ages without scheduled appointments. The Center can assess and treat minor illnesses and injuries such as ear, throat, and respiratory infections, virus and flue; sprains and strains; minor burns, lacerations, puncture wounds, and bites; and minor eye injuries. More serious problems are referred to the emergency room of the local hospital.

Cortland Convenient Care also provides additional services such as collection services for urine specimens, blood drawing, and strep screens for laboratory testing at Cayuga Medical Center, as well as standard diagnostic x-rays.
